Disney Hollywood Studios Backlot Tour (Part 1)

Description: Previously Disney MGM Studios, they changed the name to Disney Hollywood Studios in 2008. They were still in the process of changing everything, but you could still find "MGM" referenced in many places. This is the first part of the backlot tour. The driver seemed to be going much faster than I remember from a previous trip in 1992. Description: This short was produced by the Disney Studios for Lockheed Aircraft Corporation, distributed by National Film Board of Canada. This is very important historically as being Walt Disney's "pilot" effort to show how effective animation could be used in training films. This cartoon shows how to rivet an airplane so that the rivets are flat to the surface to avoid turbulence caused by raised areas on the aircraft's skin.
